Scrooby Pinfold Community Garden
The Scrooby Gardening Club is currently concentrating on the development of community gardens in the village and surveying local plant communities.
Scrooby Gardening Club has undertaken several surveys of the plant species found in the parish of Scrooby. Work started in early 2009.
The first piece of land to be surveyed is the relict common known as the Whinz. A species list can be found here: whinz-scrooby-plant-survey-species-2009.pdf.
For details of plant surveys please contact Ann Robbins: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Community Garden Working Days are scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, but there are exceptions to this date so check the programme or the Pinfold gate in the village. Please bring tools. Offers of tea and coffee are always welcome around 11am.
The local STAR newspaper is now available at the-star.org.uk.
